Haisai  and welcome to the website of The Young Okinawans of Hawaii (YOH). We are a cultural group which was started over 25 years ago when young Uchinanchu from Hawaii visited Okinawa on a study tour. Upon their return, they were so inspired by what they had experienced, that they created YOH; a cultural club dedicated to perpetuating the culture and spirit of the Uchinanchu. YOH is a very diverse club with activities including: Sports teams who compete in the Hawaii United Okinawan Association (HUOA) League; Eisa Taiko Drumming and Odori (dance); Community service events; And Education, including history and language. We welcome everyone who is interested in participating with YOH.
